What is Expo Osaka?
Expo Osaka is an international event where visitors can experience the latest technologies, future societies and the cultures of Japan and various other countries.
The venue is positioned as a ‘testing ground for future society’ where new technologies and systems are demonstrated and visitors can experience cutting-edge technologies and new ideas from around the world.
Other entertainment events include the Water World water show, projection mapping using the facilities and pathways in the venue, music and entertainment events on various stages, exhibitions and hands-on events of traditional arts and pop culture, festivals and parades from all over the country, and other lively and exciting entertainment. The festival is a great place to enjoy entertainment full of liveliness and excitement.

Access from NISHIYAMA RYOKAN
①Take a train from Kyoto Shiyakusho-mae sta. to Kyoto sta.
②Change to the JR train and take it from Kyoto sta. to Osaka sta.
③Change to the Osaka loop line and take a train from JR Osaka sta. to Bentencho sta.
④Change to the Osaka Metro train and take it from Bentencho sta. to Yumeshima sta.
Total: about 80 minutes and 1,460 yen (if you have JR pass, 640 yen)
The JR pass can be used between Kyoto sta. and Bentencho.
Important Point
Reservations for Expo visit dates and times are made six months in advance on a first-come, first-served basis.
If you do not reserve a date and time for your visit, you may not be able to attend the Expo just before or on the day of your trip, so be sure to purchase your ticket and reserve a date and time for your visit as soon as possible.
